1st Birthday Party Ideas

Are you looking for fun 1st birthday ideas? There are many things you could do at your child's birthday party. You can make it special by hand making all of the favors to add that special touch. For example you could get simple notebooks from the store and write each child's name on the front of it and make a custom monogrammed pencil to go along with it. You could add an apple, caramel and a stick so that the kids could make candy apples when they get home. There are many creative ideas to make the favors extra special.

However not all parents have the time to dedicate this much time to party favors. If this is the case you could buy something unique, something that kids don't usually receive in a gift bag like a bag of watermelon or flower seeds. Kids can have a good time after the party and think about the fun they had while watching the plants grow.

If you are looking for fun activities for your child birthday party I have some ideas for that as ell. If you are planning on throwing a party when the weather is hot you could buy or rent an inflatable water slide. From the stories that I have heard the parents love these slides because kids have such a great time playing on them and the parents get to sit back and relax while watching there kids play.

You could rent a water slide but for the cost of renting one for just one day you could purchase one for not that much more and use it for many years. These slides come in all shapes and sizes but the Little Tikes water slide is one of my favorites because it has two slides and a rock wall! If you're having a party outdoors but it will be too cold for water sports you could do a three leg race, lawn games or set up volleyball net.

For indoor activities you could plan a game of hide and go seek or a scavenger hunts. You could get dance video games that plug right into your television or child's game system. All of the kids could get some good exercise and have tons of fun with these ideas.

Some food ideas are a watermelon carved out like a basket filled with fresh fruits or a fruit smoothie bar where the kids can choose what drinks they would like to have. This is a healthy alternative to cake and ice-cream but you will not have too loses any of the fun. Have you ever gone to a party and seen bowls of candies and ice cream toppings and all of the kids are excited about it? It could be because they have some cool choices to put on what they are eating. You can do this same thing but fill the bowls with raspberries, blueberries, granola and more and let them decide.

Instead of a cake you could get and edible arraignment or even make your own fruit arrangement that is covered in chocolate. I am suggesting healthy alternatives because childhood obesity is a epidemic that is plaguing the American kids of today. Birthday parties do not have to be a place where kids have to eat badly. You can provide all of the kids with healthy, fun things to eat and help them be a little healthier.

I hope I have helped you with some 1st birthday party ideas. However these fun ideas can be used for children of all ages. They are actually great ideas for any age group really. I know that my grandmother would appreciate a fruit smoothie party and a good game of side and go seek (wink). You could help other parents become inspired to do the same healthy alternatives too. These ideas could make birthday parties healthier one party at a time.

The Little Tikes Water Slide, handmade gift bags or healthy food options could really help to make your child s birthday something special!
