As Mother's Day is getting closer it is really nice to have a day when we all celebrate how much mothers do for their children. I know for many they don't get to enjoy this day with their mothers or children like we do.
Having children is the most important job you will ever have and we should never take it for granted, just ask anyone who has lost theirs. I make it a point on these special days to consider those around me who for reasons beyond their control have lost a child, don't have a mother or have not been able to become mothers themselves.
Why Being A Mother Is Important.
Not only does this help me to appreciate all I have in my life it helps me to be open and supportive to others. Being a mother is the most important role a woman will have in her life. The love, education and self sacrifice we get to experience is a one of a kind.
Yes we all want to achieve success in life, missing the most important time when our children are growing is not going to make that success as wonderful as it should be after all your hard work. When you look at the amount of years we live for then look at the years it takes our kids to grow, it really is such a small sacrifice to be there for them.
Being A Mother In Our Modern World.
In a world that focuses so much on material possessions we as women have become confused about what is right for our children. All I can say on that one is follow your heart as it is always right especially when concerning your children. I have spoke to many women about being a mother and the ones whose children are all grown up now shared similar experiences. The majority of them that they made the decision to focus on their own lives rather then being there for their kids have many regrets.
On this Mother's Day make a point to remember why you became a mother in the first place and ask yourself are you doing it the way you want and appreciating the most special gift in the world, your beautiful children. Also spare a thought for those who wont have the same joy as you on this special day.
